HOLLYWOOD, California — Itinalaga bilang pinakabagong goodwill ambassador ng United Nations Children’s Fund o UNICEF ang global pop star na si Katy Perry nitong Martes.
Sa kanyang bagong papel hihikayatin ng award-winning singer-songwriter ang mga mamayan na makiisa sa layunin ng ahensya na mapangalagaan ang mga bata sa buong mundo.
Kamakailan lamang ay binisita ni Perry ang Madagascar, isa sa mga pinakamahirap na bansa sa mundo, bilang bahagi ng kanyang misyon.
“I was really inspired to write this song “unconditionally” based on my experience in Madagascar and seeing these children just have the currency of love between them and exchanging that. So, you know, I really believe in UNICEF I really believe that it’s important for us as adults to look after the children. They are innocent, they deserve that innocence and their happiness and their joy is pure and it should be maintained,” anang Fireworks singer.
Nanawagan din si Katy sa kanyang social media followers na suportahan ang emergency relief efforts ng UNICEF para sa mga bata, partikular na sa mga naapektuhan ng Bagyong Yolanda sa Pilipinas. (UNTV News)
