Manila, Philippines – The Commission on Elections’ (Comelec) Packing and Shipping Committee will begin on the 11th of October the distribution of official ballots to provinces.

The commission finished the printing of ballots for the October 23rd Village and Sangguniang Kabataan elections on September 30.

The poll body continues its preparations for the upcoming elections as the bill postponing it is yet to become a law.

The agency also insists that the gun ban is still strictly being implemented since October 1, the start of the election period.

Authorities have already arrested nine individuals for violating the gun ban policy. Confiscated from them were nine firearms and two bladed weapons.

The poll body continues to accept applications for gun ban exemption. – UNTV News & Rescue
