The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has announced the opening of scholarship applications for children and relatives of its members who wish to enter college.
The agency will grant education opportunities to 400 would-be college students who will receive P40,000 worth of tuition and miscellaneous fees. Each scholar will also receive P3,000 monthly stipend.
“Ang pagpili ay pababaan ng sweldo. Iyong mga miyembro natin na pinakamababa ang sweldo iyon ang malaking tsansa na makapasok,” said GSIS Head for Corporate Social Advocacies Department Ryan Palad.
(Selection is based on the lowest salary. Members who have lower salaries have higher chances of approval.)
Interested applicants should have at least three years experience as a government employee, with a salary grade of 24 or below, and was able to pay monthly premium contribution for the past six months.
