QUEZON CITY, Philippines – Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Oscar Albayalde has ordered an investigation on whether or not the ambush against Daanbantayan, Cebu mayor Vicente Loot was related to illegal drugs.
Still, the PNP is not discounting the possibility that the incident was politically motivated.
Meanwhile, Albayalde revealed that the PNP has already identified two persons of interest in the murder of former La Union 2nd District Representative Eufranio Eriguel.
Albayalde added that an intensive investigation is underway to uncover the root cause of the incident. – UNTV News &Rescue
