MANILA, Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte is set to fly to South Korea on June 3 for a three-day official visit in response to the invitation of South Korean President Moon Jae-In.
The President’s trip to Seoul aims at strengthening trade and diplomatic relations between the two nations which started since 1949.
Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Ernesto Abella said four agreements are expected to be signed during the visit namely transportation, science and technology, loan agreement as well as trade and economic cooperation.
President Duterte will also join a business luncheon meeting and food festival during his stay in Seoul.
He is expected to meet with the Filipino community in South Korea.
