MANILA, Philippines — Acting Chief Justice Antonio Carpio said the Philippines should file another diplomatic protest against China.
This is in line with the report that a Chinese coast guard seized the catch of Filipino fishermen at Panatag Shoal.
Carpio noted that the Philippines should also ask for indemnification from China over the inconvenience it has caused among Filipino fishermen.
“That’s already a violation of the arbitral ruling. Plus, the fact that the Chinese coast guard as they put it, the Chinese coast guard people are taking the catch of our fishermen which is not correct,” said Carpio. — Mai Bermudez | UNTV News & Rescue
