“Gardo” exits PAR, still enhances ‘habagat’

QUEZON CITY, Philippines – Typhoon “Gardo” has exited the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) as of 6:00 pm Tuesday (July 10).

At 3:00 a.m. today, weather bureau PAGASA monitored its movement at 650km north of extreme northern Luzon.

Based on PAGASA’s forecast, rains will be experienced in almost all parts of the country but heavier rains will be experienced in the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batanes, Mindoro, Palawan, Romblon and Western Visayas due to the effects of southwest monsoon or habagat.

Flash floods and landslides are highly possible in the said areas.

Thunderstorms are expected over Metro Manila, Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, ARMM, Pangasinan, Marinduque and the rest of Central Luzon and Calabarzon. – Rey Pelayo / Marje Pelayo
