A low-pressure area (LPA) currently prevails at 760 kilometers east-northeast of Basco, Batanes.
The disturbance has no direct effect on any part of the country, however, it enhances the habagat or the southwest monsoon which is directly affecting most parts of Luzon.
Monsoon rains will be experienced over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Zambales, and Bataan.
Metro Manila, Occidental Mindoro, Calabarzon and the rest of Central Luzon may expect moderate to heavy occasional rains.
Localized thunderstorms may hit the rest of Luzon while isolated rain showers are expected over Visayas and Mindanao.
Sea travel in the western and northern seabords of Luzon will be risky due to rough to very rough condition of coastal waters.
According to PAGASA, the LPA has a low chance of intensifying into a tropical depression. — Rey Pelayo | UNTV News & Rescue
