MANILA, Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte is expected to appoint retiring Philippine Army Chief Lt. Gen. Rolando Bautista to be the next administrator of the National Food Authority (NFA).
Though the President believes that his decision may seem odd for Bautista, he is confident that the military official will do well in the agency.
Bautista is retiring in October. Only then can he assume the post as new NFA Administrator.
‘I can place you in the NFA to rationalize the idiotic…to come up with plans, make it structural,” Duterte said.
He noted that Bautista may not be interested in the position as he is not into the business of selling rice, but the president said he needs someone he can trust.
“Alam ko ayaw naman niya magbenta ng bigas, hindi naman siya tindero. In the meantime, you have to help the country to rationalize it,’ the President said. – UNTV News & Rescue
