
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned those in the National Capital Region and nearby areas in Central Luzon to expect heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds on Monday afternoon.
In an advisory issued at 4 p.m., PAGASA said that a thunderstorm is likely to be experienced in Metro Manila, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Zambales and Pampanga within the next two hours.
Heavy to intense rain showers with lightning and strong winds are being felt in parts of Bulacan, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon, and Bataan.
Pagasa said this may persist within two hours and may affect nearby areas.
Residents in the said areas were advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
