MANILA, Philippines – Isang buwan na lamang ang nalalabi bago mag-retiro sa serbisyo si Philippine National Police chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, may listahan na ang Malakanyang ng mga pamimilian bilang kapalit ni Eleazar sa puwesto.
Ngunit kung si Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año ang tatanungin, sa huling linggo pa ng Oktubre siya magsusumite ng listahan kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte
“I have not yet submitted my recommended list for the next Chief PNP. I’ll submit the list in the last week of October,” ani Año.
Kung rule of succession ang susundin, isa sa mga mistah ni Eleazar na miyembro ng command group ang posibleng susunod na hepe ng PNP.
Kinabibilangan ito nina Deputy Chief for administration at administrative support on COVID 19 operation task force commander Lt. Gen. Joselito Vera Cruz at si Deputy Chief for operations at joint task force coronavirus shield commander Lt. Gen. Israel Ephraim Dickson.
Kabilang din sa command group si Directorial Staff Chief Lt. Gen. Dionardo Carlos na mula sa PMA Maringal Class of 1988.
Ngunit bukod sa miyembro ng command group, matunog din ang pangalan ng mag mistah na sina Directorate for operations MGen. Rhodel Sermonia, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group director MGen. Albert Ferro at si Police Regional Office 3 director BGen. Valeriano de Leon.
Ang mga ito ay mula sa PMA Makatao Class of 1989.
Lumulutang din ang pangalan ng mag mistah mula sa PMA Sambisig Class of 1991 na sina National Capital Region Police Office director MGen. Vicente Danao Jr. at Police Regional Office 11 director BGen. Filmore Escobal.
Batay sa Republic Act 6975, maaaring mamili ang pangulo sa hanay ng mga pulis na may ranggong one star o Brigadier General pataas.
Si Eleazar ay miyembro ng PMA Hinirang Class of 1987. Nakatakda siyang mag-retiro sa serbisyo sa Nobyembre 13.
