Pop star Justin Bieber has stumbled in his attempt to complete a community service sentence.

The star had been told to fulfill five days of community work as part of his punishment for throwing eggs at his neighbour’s house in 2014.

According to a report by probation officials, Bieber claimed his ankle, along with other reasons such as time spent in the recording studio and taping of TV shows, prevented him from being able to fulfill his community service requirements.

He provided a chiropractor’s report that stated the singer was to stay off his feet for a week in early January.

Judge Leland b. Harris was satisfied with the report and gave Bieber more time to comply with the sentence.

Bieber was originally ordered to complete five days of community service, attend 12 anger management sessions, and pay $80,900 to repair damage to his neighbour’s home after he pleaded no contest to misdemeanor vandalism in July 2014.

At present, he has paid the costs and completed nine anger management sessions.

In January, Bieber released a video begging forgiveness for his recent behavior.
