MANILA, Philippines – Tinanghal na pangatlong “song of the week” ang “Awit Kong Dasal” sa A Song of Praise Music Festival (ASOP), Linggo ng gabi.
Obra ito ng anak ng ASOP Year 1 grand finalist na si Jaime Enriquez na siyang nagpursige kay Jally James na isali sa ASOP.
Kwento ni Jally, “Nung una bale pinarinig ko po sa kanya pero hindi pa po niya alam ‘yung kanta ko po na ganito po. Kaya nagulat po talaga siya nung naparinig siya.”
Naka-relate naman sa mensahe ng awit ang interpreter nitong si Danica Reynes kaya’t naisapuso niya ang pag-awit.
Ayon kay Danica, “Nung una kong narinig na-LSS ako agad tapos sobrang… ‘yung title pa lang, “Awit kong Dasal”, eh ginagawa ko rin na ‘pag may prayer ako, dinadasal ko.”
Samantala, para sa nagbabakasyong mang-aawit na sina Fe Delos Reyes at Jet Montelibano, hindi nila makakalimutan ang pagiging bahagi ng ASOP.
“This is the most interesting moment of my vacation here in Manila. Working and listening to the composers and the singers who interpreted the songs, I’ve learned a lot and it’s exciting because you see the future of this youth… of the young people coming up with creative material. And of course, I also learned a lot from Doc Mon del Rosario and that is very very inspiring,” saad ni Jet.
“Being a judge was not just an experience… ‘yung judging lang pero marami akong naramdaman na … para akong nagdasal na rin e… and I learned a lot from Doc Mon, you know. Pero syempre iba rin from a point of view of a composer and ang pagpuri hindi lang… akala mo kasi ano lang e ‘yung… meron kasi tayong konsepto na, ah gospel song ‘yan… pero hindi pop din… ballad pwede rin siyang rock. Yes… so, when we praise God… we can praise Him in different ways and music… mas malakas pa ‘yung impact”, pahayag naman ni Fe Delos Reyes.
Hanga rin ang dalawa sa konsepto ng ASOP na kauna-unahan sa telebisyon.
“My hats off to the producers of this show for putting up something like this. This is a very very wonderful concept,” saad pa ni Jet.
“Alam mo ‘buti na lang merong ganito noh? Kasi ang daming mga singing contests but I think for you to… this is your 4th year? It means you must be doing a great job. So, nagpapasalamat ako na meron namang contest na ganito… A Song of Praise,” ani Fe Delos Reyes. (Adjes Carreon / UNTV News)
