MANILA, Philippines — Hindi isinasawalang bahala ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang travel warning ng United States (US) hinggil sa international terrorist threat.
Ayon kay PNP-PIO Chief Sr. Supt. Reuben Theodore Sindac, responsibilidad ng bawat bansa na protektahan ang kanilang mga kababayan na nasa Pilipinas.
“The US is keen on exercising this responsibility by alerting its citizens as well as allied law enforcement counterparts of potential terror threats.”
Kaugnay nito, dinagdagan na ang mga pulis na nagbabantay sa US Embassy sa Maynila kasunod na rin ng kahilingan ng mga ito.
“We take the recent worldwide travel warning issued by the US with serious attention and great concern, more so because there are domestic threat groups with links to international terrorist organizations that are operating in the Philippines,” pahayag pa ni Sindac.
Tiniyak rin ng heneral na laging nakaalerto ang mga tauhan ng PNP kaya’t hindi dapat magalala ang publiko.
Sa kasalukuyan ay wala pa naman aniya silang namomonitor na anomang banta ng terorismo sa bansa.
