LONDON, England – Isang panibagong payment application ang nabuo ng PayPal para sa mga shop owner na gustong kumunekta sa PayPal account ng kanilang mga customer, gamit ang mukha.

“We’ve had the PayPal technology implemented in our store for several months now and we find it really easy to use. It’s convenient for both us and the customer,” ani Ahmed.
Ayon kay Rob Harper ng PayPal UK, ang bagong business model na ito ay gumagana katulad ng banko o credit card.
“The app is free to download for consumers and free for the consumer to use. For the businesses as with any financial transaction, there’s a small transaction fee that PayPal will apply.”
Unang inilunsad ng PayPal ang alternatibong pagbabayad gamit ang mobile phone noong 2011, kabilang dito ang pay-at-the-table option at ang barcode scanning.
Bagama’t maraming mga agam-agam na lumabas ukol sa seguridad ng bagong face recognition application, tiniyak ng PayPal na protektado ang kanilang mga user.
“It’s really like a thumbprint or a finger print. It doesn’t change over time. So if they have your picture now, they could match that with the real you in five years time using the same picture. Bank details may change, addresses may change, but your thumbprint and face geometry doesn’t change,” pahayag ni David Clemente na isang international security expert.
