WASHINGTON, D.C. — Overseas absentee voting in Washington, D.C. started on April 9, one month before the national elections in the Philippines.

Ballot feeding was set every Mondays and Thursdays for every ballot they received within a month.

However, feeding this time was moved to Sunday, May 8, to coincide with election in the Philippines.

More than 20,000 registered voters have sent their ballots to be counted before the 5:00 a.m. deadline, Washington time. Voting has been running smoothly so far.

Consolidation will start around 12 noon tomorrow, Washington time while winners will be announced one-by-one in each precinct in Washington area including the states of Florida, Virginia, and Maryland.

The total voting results will be sent to Manila.
