Venue is being set for President-elect Duterte’s victory party

DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Preparations which include security measures are now being finalized for the most anticipated thanksgiving celebration or victory party of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte which will take place at the Davao Crocodile Park in Davao City on June 4.

The venue is estimated to accommodate about 2,000 guests.

Event organizer, Marco Dizon says, security measures which will be implemented for the said event are also in place.

“Presidential Security Group for any to fed any security precautions that may happen on June 4, it’s just a matter of execution on that day.”

“Let us not repeat what had happened in May 7 wherein everyone came in at 5 o’clock. As much as possible, we need to decongest traffic on that day in as much as the event will be at 1 p.m. to 1 a.m,” Dizon further added.

As part of the strict security, male guests will be asked to remove their shoes and socks aside from being frisked.

Female guests will likewise undergo frisking, however, it will also be done by a female security personnel.

Guests, especially those who will come from Metro Manila are also prohibited from bringing alcoholic drinks.

In the same manner, smoking is strictly prohibited which has long been implemented in Davao city to this day.

In order to prevent disrupting the flow of traffic in Davao, event organizers have also designated the streets that guests can take on their way to the victory party.
