At the height of the issue that local government officials are involved in illegal drugs, Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista directly denies that he is a drug protector.
The mayor says his name was dragged to drugs after 2 of the 3 generals that President Duterte named were assigned in Quezon City.
Bautista clarifies that he has no involvement in choosing these generals in his city but the powerful religion and groups.
He, however, refuses to name those groups.
“I am not involved and will never be involved with anyone who transacts illegally in this country,” Mayor Bautista said.
Conversely, Mayor Bistek says his brother Quezon City 4th District Councilor Hero Bautista is now on leave to undergo rehabilitation.
This is after hero admitted that he uses illegal drugs.
“It is a good thing that he positively admits his decision to undergo rehabilitation,” Bautista added.
The mayor admits that his family is now suffering after their name was dragged in these issues.
“I hope this episode of what my family is going through. I now know the feeling of the families that are victimized by drugs.” — Grace Casin / UNTV News & Rescue
