QUEZON CITY, Philippines — Police Chief Ronald Dela Rosa is ready to disclose all information regarding the anti-illegal drugs operations in the upcoming senate probe on August 22.
In fact, according to Dela Rosa, they are preparing the necessary data and information pertaining to the on-going anti-illegal drugs operations particularly those killed and arrested.
“We will go there to the Senate with open hearts. Our hearts are clean and not tainted so we have nothing to hide. We have no reason to panic and we will never lose our cool,” Dela Rosa said.
“You cannot stun us for the truth to come out. Our mere appearance in the Senate is a sign that we are true to our words and our deeds. We have nothing to hide as regard anything that they want to know from us.”
Gen. Dela Rosa adds that the public will surely be surprised once they reveal in the Senate the names of persons and groups who are behind the extrajudicial killings.
“Alleged vigilante killings but turns out to be syndicated killing, the drug groups,” Dela Rosa said. “There is scientific evidence leading to that conclusion and you would know that later. Just wait.”
Based on the record of PNP, victims of extrajudicial killings have reached 681 from July 1 to August 3 or an average of 20 persons per day.
This is higher than the 612 people killed in legitimate police operations during the same period which only has an average of 12 persons per day.
The PNP Chief further reiterates they are determined to finish the fight against illegal drugs within the period of six months. — Lea Ylagan / UNTV News & Rescue
