MANILA, Philippines — Marcos loyalist and lawyer Oliver Lozano asked the Supreme Court (SC) to nullify the appointment of Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.
In a petition he filed before the SC, Lozano argued it will help preserve the integrity of the high tribunal and the trust of the public to the judiciary amid the controversy it faces and the impeachment complaint filed against its top magistrate.
Lozano noted that the Supreme Court has the power to decide on the validity of the appointment of Sereno. — UNTV News & Rescue
